The Miniature breed of golden retriever is a unique combo of beauty, charm, smaller size, better health, and less shedding

A miniature golden retriever also known as a mini golden retriever is not a pure breed of golden retriever as it is a mixture of golden doodle, poodle and or cocker spaniel.

The reason for making this type of golden retriever was because people wanted a healthier golden retriever that is much smaller and does not shed much.

It is referred to as a crossbreed or a designer breed and so their size, personality, healthiness and nature are purely based on the parent breeds and the number of genes they possess.

The size of mini golden retrievers is about 20 to 45 lbs for both male and female. And their height is 12 to 20 inches tall at the shoulders.

Miniature golden retrievers might have different kinds of temperaments because of the combination of different breeds.

They can be proud and intelligent like poodles, loyal like pure golden retrievers and active yet gentle like Cocker Spaniels.  As long as they are properly trained, mini golden retrievers are well behaved and very friendly.

Mini golden retrievers can be easily taken care of so long as you learn about the various breeds they are made up of. Though they are healthier than the average golden retriever, they are prone to other illnesses because of the mixture of genes.

One of the reasons for creating crossbreeds is to lengthen the lifespan of golden retrievers but it can also be the reason some of the mixed breeds die.

The price of mini golden retrievers is above that of the other kinds of golden retrievers as one of them as puppies can be as high as $1,500.
